The World is changing. Where are we??

May 29, 2010
I went to book tickets for my friend. While the booking guy was making ready the tickets, a guy came and inquired for tickets to chennai. This was the reply from the booker.
“Chennai Non A/C 850 rs and A/C 1100, both are semi-sleepers”
I was shocked to hear that the ticket rate for Chennai from Coimbatore is 850 Rs, whose normal rates are just 450. Why the increase in fares?? I inquired the booking person, is this the normal rate? He said, “NO. It is SPECIAL rate, becauses the school and colleges are gonna open in this time”
Wow, what a justification by a responsible citizen of India. He also claims that the buses during the return trip (from Chennai to Coimbatore the next day) will be empty and so the rates went up. How people became very irrational like this?? Are there no authorities to question about this atrocity?
This incident made me to think about the film Katradhu tamil (Tamil M.A). In this film, the hero will say,
“I don’t know what is happening in the world. The world is slowly changing for the persons who earns in lakhs per month. There is no place for the normal people”.
It is actually true. How can a normal person, who earns 5k a month book tickets for 850 Rupees. That too on a month end.
When you observe the world carefully, you will notice the change.
THE WORLD IS REALLY CHANGING FOR THE PEOPLE WHO EARNS IN LAKHS PER MONTH.

Avoid cellphones..

January 2, 2009

We might have seen a board in the highways “AVOID CELLPHONES WHILE DRIVING”. Still many of them don’t listen to it, thinking that nothing bad will happen to them. Anyway I’m not gonna talk about it.
I’m going to discuss the usage of cellphones inside the temple. Every time i step inside the temple, I can see atleast 5 people talking with cellphones. This number increases when its a festival day. I wonder why and what they are talking.
And if u are very curios about what they re speaking u don’t need to buy a GSM decrypter, or a permission to trace the call from the indian government. U dont even need to eaves drop them. They will be talking in a loud voice as if they were speaking in a meeting.
Most of the talks will be USELESS and UNNECCESSARY.

Some of them:
“Hi, I m in temple, Where are u? What s the lunch today!?”
Some will speak something different!
Here it is
“Machi, Inga oru super figure, ennaye pakudhuda.!”
In english(He will be telling his friend about a beautiful girl who came to temple.)

On an average, out of 100 calls spoken in a temple on a festival day, 95 will be NONSENSE talks. There are even some people who will keep the latest hit songs as their ringtones and will be disturbing others by keeping it loud.

Temple is a place where silence should be maintained, the environment should give harmony to others.

Dont spoil it by keeping ringtones loud and attending calls inside the premises. U are not going to spend a whole day inside the temple. U will be out of the premises in a maximum time of 15 mins. So when U re inside, U can very well put ur mobile in silent, or u can even switch it off.
U re going to temple to pray, NOT for an entertainment.

So PLEASE AVOID using CELLPHONES inside the temple.

Love- The modern trend

November 4, 2008

Definition of modern love:
“A guy sees a girl on the first day, she is giving a return look on the second day, on the third day they re having a cofee in a shop, on the fourth or fifth day they become lovers.”
This is wat u can see in movies. It will fit for movies but won’t fit for life.
But without knowing that it won’t fit for life, many people are experimenting this.

When i was in the last year of my schooling, 2 or 3 of my classmates have found their soulmates (according to them). Days passed. After completing 4 years of my college life, i met them. After enquiring about their college life, I asked about their soulmates, they felt bad about that. They said nothing is going on now.
I started to think Why it happened? It’s because of the cinematic love they had.

Today love has become more cinematic. In 21st century love comes at first sight when he/she is looking good. If he/she looks at u in the second sight love starts to flow. After break up the flow makes him wash-out.
When he/she is looking good, u can enjoy their beauty, or u can even feel jealous about their beauty. But don’t call it as love. It cannot be called so. Its called infatuation.
Don’t cheat ur mind by saying that its true love, pure love etc.
Get out of the circle called cinematic love and enjoy urselves with a free mind.

Is war necessary ?

October 17, 2008

WAR, (Wrathful Armed Rudity), this is how I would expand it, if possible. The world has seen many wars in its history, and the history continues. While exploring on the reasons for those wars/battles, we can list the following as reasons:
* Acquisition of land
* Revenge
* Retain power
* Retain individual prestige
* Freedom(the least cause of wars)

In ancient days, where humans were in the starting stage of the transition from animals to humans, they could not hide the behaviour(rudity) of animals. So, the easiest way for them to tackle a problem is fighting against their enemies. But, if you believe the transition has occurred, there is no point in still fighting.

With the ‘sixth sense’(if there is really a thing like that), humans must think on their activities. Wars have brought in a great loss in lives, capital, dignity, freedom, etc. ever from its first occurrence. Eventhough, if humans were unable to think on the consequences of wars, he must have atleast learnt from its consequences. But, none of them happened.

Why dont people think that they are not going to take the above said reasons with them after death ? In their lifetime, why dont they be helpful to others, without harming others ? Why dont they use the money spent on wars to others needing them ?

Life is beautiful, but only when someone allows you to live in.

So, promote love and appreciate peaceful way of solving any problems.

Employment Office – public friendly ?

October 15, 2008

I went to Cuddalore Employment Office to register my BE degree. I had some bitter experiences at the working of the officers there. I would like to share here, so that you may find the difficulties, and may not repeat the same at your site.

The first thing I noted was the punctuality of the workers there. As expected, a Government staff may not be punctual at his work. Even the office was opened late. Also, the time the officers took to do their work is worst. As I was seeing them working, they created an impression as such they are dodging and doing their work without sincerity. Because of their poor punctuality, many people far from Cuddalore had to wait without till 3:30pm.

The second thing I noticed was the behaviour of the officers at the public. They are thinking that they are the heads, and without them, the work cannot be done(of course, I accept). But, they are not having even a single drop of the mind set that “they are working for the public”. Those who provided their employment cards for renewal in the morning(around 10:15am) were made to wait till 3:00pm to collect their cards back!

I was forwarded to two officers through the process. A clerk/head-clerk(I am not sure) and the Junior Employment Officer(Special Section).

I would like to say what happened to a fellow in the queue. Unfortunately, he could not renew his registration in time(may be due to many reasons). As he didnt renew, he cannot add his qualifications with his employment card. The clerk found it and said that to that fellow. The fellow asked him what to do next. The harsh reply from the clerk was “mmm… go, eat and sleep”. (It would be exact if I put it in Tamil “mmm… poai saaptuttu thoongu”)

That fellow was ashamed of the incident, as the clerk scolded him publicly. He was really shocked, and shivering. He was helpless, I dont know what happened to him. The point here is that, instead of explaining the process to the unknown, the officers are irritating the public. Atleast there should be an enquiry counter for this purpose. But in this office, the counter was empty with no officer there.

I was patient as usual, and went to the JEO. I was shocked to see her ordering and threatening public, with a hard voice. Everyone will loose their dignity infront of her. She too is the black sheep, not answering or guiding properly to the special persons(handicapped), to whom she was mainly appointed to serve. “Is she really a woman?”, this is what I thought after seeing her behaviour.

I am not here to hurt anyone’s heart, but, I was very much affected by the avamariyaadhai done to the public. There is a chance they might have been in a tense situation. But, the way they approached the public must be opposed.

This is the case of most of the Government offices in Tamil Nadu. The officers and politicians even after knowing this, are not taking necessary actions. The public must also be blamed for this. They should be bold enough to argue for their rights. Even if someone raises his voice, the officers will use their powers and prevent that person from fulfilling his need. This has been a problem since olden days.

My request to the staffs at public offices is “please know the value of your posts and work accordingly, dont take them as you were working for money alone”.

Newton’s Third Law(N3L)

October 8, 2008

Newton made many discoveries in the field of science.
Out of all the most stunning and astonishing discovery of all time is the “Newton’s third law”.
It states
“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”.
This statement not only applies for science, It also works in real life and It is applicable to all.For every action we are doing (it may be good or bad), We’ll definitely face the reaction one day. If one does a good thing, he’ll get good things back. and vice versa.so, one should always keep in mind to do good things to get it back.

Some examples in my real life:
* If i make a person feel better when he is in a confused state, someone will do the same when i feel worse.
* I got a sum of amount(say Rs. X) from a relief fund (that was supposed to be given for the affected people in our locality). But i was not affected, but they gave me that sum. After a week i sent a courier to my relative which has the same amount in number (Rs. X),The courier was received by them, but they found nothing in it. Here the N3L plays a vital role, because the sum of amount(Rs.X) was not entitled to me, so it went away.

Moral: Each and every thing in life can be interpreted with N3L.
So always do good things, u’ll always reap good things.
Note: u can also share ur real life things. (which u believe its because of N3L)

Happy Birthday Gandhiji :)

October 2, 2008

Gandhi was a man of great energy, who changed the fate of India, helping her to live freely. Many people say many things about Gandhiji. He was named “Mahatma”, and “The Father of our Nation”, for his great contribution to Indian freedom struggle, which riped its fruit on August, 15, 1947. I even heard others arguing against him, still there are some. I still believe that the reason for our independence was mainly due to his behaviour and works. Even if he died before 1947, we might have got indepence. But this would have been achieved only by following his ways.

There is extra-ordinary internal energy in every individual. An individual dies when he cannot make use of his energy. The reason for the great leaders, scientists, etc. to become so is that they somehow made use of their energy. How did Gandhi utilized those energies ? It is because of his daily prayers. Through those prayers, he got enormous concentration, which increased the energy level in him. This is the same energy which makes everyone to become successful in their life. We can make better use of this energy when we involve in our works with a greater concentration.

Besides approaching him as a freedom fighter, it would be the best to portray him as a good social reformer. I am refering his principles and his faith in God. His way of life, ‘Truth’ and ‘Ahimsa’, words that must be followed by every individual living human in this world.

Have you ever thought why are you not true to others ? I bet you will not find a good reason. Why should not everyone speak ‘truth’, and be true to others. Being untrue will definitely lead you to the debris. You are spoiling others in the society, no doubt, you are spoiling yourselves too. Slowly, you are wasting your energy in doing harm to others.

Ahimsa, not only means that no one should harm others. Instead, everyone should love the people living in their society. Just, have a try to love others, be patient and dont get angry with others. It is really not possible if you dont know the real meaning of truth and ahimsa. You need a great level of patience to attain them.

Gandhi, who was the follower of truth and ahimsa in his life, has done social reforms too by changing the minds of many people who lived with them. He is still a reformer, maturing the minds of many people (like me :) . It was the lack of these qualities which led many societies in the world, even from the known or unknown civilizations, to their bad destinations. Do you want to repeat the same mistake again ?

So, try to follow these principles:

- Always speak truth, at any occasion/situation.

- Try to be patient at any situation.

- Atleast dont disgrace those who are true.

Delhikku raja-naalum gandhi solla thattaadhae… )

Note: Dont miss to see the English film, “Gandhi”.
